I used to be able to get this many cabs done before lunchtime. These, however, took about a month for me to find the time to get them done! LOL Crazy Lace Agate - I've got several slabs from this rock which I picked up off eBay. It's one of the nicest Crazy Lace I've ever worked. There's parallax shadow banding going on in a lot of the pieces I've worked. Original Owyhee Picture Jasper - There's a lot of variety going on in these pieces. I still have a good sized chunk of this left. Love this material! Needles Blue Agate - This came from a deal I had with rockjunquie ...which came from Tommy originally (I think!). If anyone's bored, do a Google search for "Needles Blue cabochon" and check the prices people are asking for these cabs! Holy Crap!!! As always, thanks for taking a gander!

Very nice Jason, I really like the needles shield. Gotta get practicing so you can get up to your old speed... I swear every night I logged on here and saw a couple of your threads just a while back.

Fantastic cabs jasoninsd. I really like the crazy lace. It looks super agatey if that’s a word. Very solid cab. You really knocked that one out of the park. They’re all great but that one really makes me smile.

Those are awesome Jason!!! I will have to show my wife those. She seems to be more interested in Cabochons than tumbled rocks

They’re all great but that one really makes me smile. Thank you my friend!! Yeah...even though I REALLY like Needles Blue, that Crazy Lace is probably my favorite too. There's something really special about that whole batch of slabs I picked up. It is super "agatey" compared to some of the other Crazy Lace I've worked. Super dense...super hard...and shines so freakin' well!!

What more can you ask for in crazy lace. Hard and shiny is always good. You do an amazing job of bringing out the best in a slab. Have you tried cabbing any Swali / Swazi / Mozambique agate? It seems like it has some softer areas similar to mla.

They kind of remind me of Condor Agates...which I've worked a couple pieces of those. They remind me of Brazilian Agate. I've said this before...which may sound weird...but they remind me of working "plastic" rock. I don't know how else to describe it. It seems like scratches are easily seen from the 280 and 600 wheels...but with enough pressure on the 1200, they all come out. It's weird...

I'm not sure about the descriptor of original Owyhee. I call it Gem Owyhee and what is distinctive about it is how hard it is. It is on my search list and is hard to find. I bought a onepound piece of rough with nothing showing from Tony at FB full moon last year and my saw wasn't working so it took me a while to cut it. I saw the blues and went wow. The third picture (without blues) can be treacherous with partially healed fracture that like to go boom. The Blue Owyhee takes a long time for me to work on. I have an aggressive 80 grit that eats rock but I must have made three or four passes getting the scratches out. Soft material can be forgiving but this hard stuff puts up a fight. I like the blues because of the water an sky possibilities in the designs.
Great job on all of them.

It wasn't really deep...nor a really large section of the rock, but it's there. The vast majority of the rock has that "traditional" pattern that is usually found in Original Owyhee...which I also really like!

Great looking cabs as usual Jason! That is some really nice Crazy Lace! It's amazing how beautiful a grey and beige stone can be. I saw some small chunks of Needles Blue for sale probably about the time I first joined this forum. The prices were shocking!

That Crazy Lace has to be in the top five favorite stones I've worked so far!! I was beyond stunned when I saw the pricing on the Needles Blue cabs! I have NO clue what I should price that last one once I wrap it! LOL
