Michael, my deepest condolences for the loss of your brother. I only recently joined and didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Ed, but through my reading on RTH, it’s obvious your brother was well loved and respected by our members.
Welcome to the forum. I hope you find comfort in the words Ed shared here.

We are all so very sorry for your families loss. Ed was a character and we are all going to miss him around here.

Sending my condolences to you and your family. I'm relatively new to the forum, but any interaction I had with Ed was always a good one and he definitely made me laugh with his posts. He was a true poet  . |

Welcome Michael!! You are very much more than welcome here. Very sorry for the loss of Ed. I can't even imagine. Hopefully you & yours are holding up alright.
Rest assured we all loved having him as a member. If you can find his post about the extension cord debacle, I recommend reading it. I don't think I ever laughed so hard (or commiserated so much) in my life! Do you have any stories of Ed you'd like to share with us if it's not too painful? Most of us only knew him from the forums, would be interested to see it from another side.

Mel (Pretty Gritty) asked me to share some Ed stories, I will pick a few out and post them, please understand I’m a letter carrier so my days start early and end early so bear with me please giving me some time.
Just so you know you are ALL touching my heart with your outpouring towards my brother (and me) and you have no idea how much I appreciate it! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

I don't think we can thank YOU enough for helping a lot of US through this by sharing what you're sharing. This year has been filled with several "key" members of the forum passing away...and several other members having to deal with life-threatening issues...and even more members who have lost significant others. The loss of Ed was as shocking to us as it was you and your family. Ed was a large presence in the RTH family. And just so you know...now you're a member of the RTH family as well!!! |
