Hello everyone, here are the latest from the workshop, four cabs and an attempt at making a bead, a really big bead.

1. Owyhee bead- this was made from a piece that would have gone into the tumbler since I couldn't cab it.

2. Montana agate- I tried to get the array of dendrites to curve with the shape.

3. Gold moss agate

4. Unknown agate- I got this agate for free from the dealer because it had already been cut and he said cut rocks are free.

5. Burro Creek jasper- Violet/lavender, pastel purple

I like the gold moss agate - I've not seen that before.

But the bead is way cool !

What's funny is that I've been thinking about trying some beads.

But I was thinking of making squares with holes in them & trying to throw them in the rotary tumbler.

Your longer bead is extra nice (and was probably a pain to make) and would make a great piece of jewelry.

Did you do it on the wheels ?

Dopped ?

I assume the hole runs end to end ??
