I want.... I'll just have to scavenge the change in the couch.
But, seriously, that seems really low.

Do you have any photos of the pet trees there or does anyone? Agree, the price seems low.

How does the wood compare to Arizona wood?

How does the wood compare to Arizona wood? The pictures I saw, when I queried the Petrified Forrest between Sonoma and Calistoga, looked to be plain with no color. The pictures were not very clear so hard to tell. Henry

Boy, that’s tempting. If only I had just a little more cash…

I know a place outside of prineville with some massive trees like that on public lands. Much better material too. If anyone wants their own petrified Forrest, help me develop a game plan to get them out 😂

We had some family friends that lived in the hills in that same area and I made several trips there as a kid. I have a few pieces of petrified wood that we found around there. They are all just plain tan color. I do remember my mother talking about opalized wood (she loved opals) but we never came across any.

I feel like a push to get the federal government to buy it and turn it into a national park might be a good idea. Or maybe the state for a state park.

Only way you’re getting them out is with some heavy equipment or going home with a hernia and crushed discs in your back 😂
