So do we have an anonymous 12th contestant, that doesn't wish to be named? Should we worry Pretty damned good cabochon maker so maybe worry a little I really don't know if they will remain anon or not - we've been actively conversing about the material etc. so to me it seemed a natural course of events that I heard first.

So slab #12 is on it's way to the post office and I am on my way to the Mariposa house until late Friday In other words, I'll be checking in on my phone but not posting a whole lot until probably Saturday.

How are people buying into this event? Is it through PayPal or other? I don’t have any of those.

I’m still not even certain I’ll have time to do this event. But thought I’d ask in the event something changed in my life.

Heh, Heh, wink. My dad used to call it "predatory sandbagging." This is exciting to see all these cabs get made, not only is there skill involved there's an element of luck depending upon which slab cooperates the most. Good luck to all.

Not gonna lie...I'm super grateful the slab is big enough for a second or third attempt if the first one is an utter failure!! LOL

I might even meet you at the border if it gets you in the game Seriously tho, whatever works. Zelle, Venmo, cash, check, its all good.

Got my slab the other day. Tommy I think half a roll of paper towels was a little excessive in the padding department!

I finished my cab the other day...or so my wife says. She says not to do anything else with it...but I'm not sure if I don't want to do a couple other things to it before I send it in.
*How's that for "cryptic"! LOL

Got my slab the other day. Tommy I think half a roll of paper towels was a little excessive in the padding department! You're welcome! Extra bonus - just save them for next year when paper towels are $10 per roll Seriously though I had a roll of bubble wrap that I thought would be enough and it ran out after about six boxes. Before I talked Eva into donating a roll of paper towels to the cause, several slabs ended up rolled up in grocery store bags

Well I for one was thankful Tommy, for all the paper towels. I re-rolled them on my shop roll & thought they were much more useful, then getting more bubble wrap in my life ! Sorry, I'm not sending them back with the cab
