“You preachers of equality, the tyrannomania of impotence clamors thus out of you for equality: your most secret ambitions to be tyrants thus shroud themselves in words of virtue. Aggrieved conceit, repressed envy—perhaps the conceit and envy of your fathers—erupt from you as a flame and as the frenzy of revenge.” —Friedrich Nietzsche
Out of curiosity, how do you know an oco is solid before you open it? And what would be the difference between a solid oco and a thunder egg?
When I purchased them they were advertised as "Mine Run, Mostly Solid" Oco Geodes. I've cut about 10-15, and my daughter and her friends have broken up ~5 of them. All were solid except one with a tiny druzy pocket. I would imagine they check density as they grade them.
In terms of naming conventions I don't know. My guess would be the nature of the formation. 1dave has a post about this. I've cut open several Fallen Tree thundereggs that were hollow inside with crystal/druzy pockets more like a geode.
Oh and the Enhydro geode has ancient water trapped inside of it . . . which is pretty cool!

Thank you! After recent purchases, I will see how high it swings to see if I can afford. I hope it goes really high so it gets a great memorial for him

rocknrob: There was a shop in Portland, don't know if it's still there called Kenny and Zukes who made the absolute best pastrami sandwiches I have ever had. The problem is every restaurant thinks their sandwich is worth $20 now and seldom makes the grade.

rocknrob: So, to end my thread on sandwiches. If you find your sandwich worthy of that price by all means keep going to that restaurant
