I've been enjoying doing tumbled wraps since last months challenge- so here's one more.
The stone had a very uneven face- with one side that just dropped off.
Then it came to me, that it might be a perfect place to put a woven strip, which I thought would tie in nicely with the palm wood pattern.
I'm pretty happy with the way it came together, although I think the bail started out a little wonky -
it works.

Thanks for looking , Patty ...... needing to get in touch with her square side now

I think that's my favorite so far of your tumbled stones. In addition to its looks (and I really like the finished product) I like that you took what would be detrimental to wrapping and turned it into an asset. Great thinking, leading to great results!

It's funny I've been looking through tumbles now for wrapping possibilities.
Puts a whole new aspect into tumbling for me.
Perfect wrap for a cool looking stone. Great design and a great execution! It's funny with the tumbles. When you cab a stone, you feel the satisfaction that you made it.
With the tumbles, it's just what happened (while I wasn't watching).
This one sat for awhile - and I'm glad I stewed on it & figured it out ! Thanks for noticing.

Thank you Susan- you brought a smile to my face after a long day at work.
I was glad it worked out.

I really love how the wrap works with the stone! I love the weaving- esp the bail! The bail is very nice.

Thank you Tela rockjunquie. I was happy the way it came together. It was fun to see if I could do a border & weave together - amazingly I pulled it off. More practice needed on the bail - but heck it worked (and looks less wonky in person) Thanks for looking, Patty
