We finally got selected to be a vendor at a local medieval fair! Woohoo!
Started to create these little sculptures for the fair... three so far but a lot more to come.
Spider with Shungite body
And unicorn with a quartz horn
Snake (glow in the dark!) holding 3 Smoky Quartz

Thanks! We've been working (my sister and I) on making an octopus which holds various tumbled minerals in it's arms... more complicated then we thought but should turn out interesting.

That's awesome, digging that UNIHORN Thanks! We made a griffon (with a appaloosa blanket that had mini garnet spots) but my sister kept it for herself once it was done cooking in the oven. We made a few turtles too, but I think the mythical animals are my favourite!

Those are really cool. I especially like the spider and snake. I don’t even know how something like this would be made. You mentioned the oven so I figure clay. Are you able to cook with the rocks in place or do you add them after?

Yep! These are made with polymer clay; some like the unicorn and spider are baked with the stones while the snake we cooked it without. It depends on the sculpture. We have a black mamba snake that we had to cook with the rock because it's literally coiled around it; same as with another snake one that is coiled around a selenite stick... yes we love snakes lol

Quick Update from after the fair! We sold a tone of tumbled stones and rough obsidian, the show was a great success! I can't wait to go back next year. Met a lot of interesting people.
