He's got plenty of material left. Bins and bins of slabs, agate and jasper rough, lots of other rough, a few boxes of mineral specimens. Basically anything a cabber would want, and a great variety of materials.
The big score would be for someone really into turquoise. There is a lot!
Prices were great. I couldn't even find any reason to haggle.

What was the original ad? Obviously it's deleted but it looks like someone got a heck of a haul!

What was the original ad? Obviously it's deleted but it looks like someone got a heck of a haul! The original ad was for a 14" Covington Model 1100 saw that I posted a pic of in this thread. Im the guy that jumped on it and a few other things that the seller had available. I came out with the saw, a 15" beacon star vibratory lap, a bunch of material to cut/cab/facet, and some mineral specimens for my display shelves. So far Ive made sure everything works well on the saw, although it might need a new blade. I havent tried dressing the blade yet since I want to get the saw onto a stand instead of sitting on the garage floor. Im probably going to make a cover for the belt on it too, just to make sure nothing gets grabbed by the belt/pulleys. Things have been busy for me so I didnt get a chance to fire up the lap (other than making sure it works). Im hoping to get it going with a batch of thundereggs and geodes within the next week. We will see if I actually get to that though.

I was more curious about the price of it all; I went to a lapidary auction last week and people thought I was a dealer or something because I kept bidding on so much stuff. Lapidary supplies are few and far between where I am too, so I jump on any deal I can find, even if I don't necessarily need the equipment because I can always sell it later (and it's a good way to learn about the tools and repairs).
Congrats on the new saw, I have the same one but a 16 and I love my Covington! I have it on a work top rather than the Covington stand and it's been perfect for me. Also, their customer service is absolutely stellar. If you ever need a manual or a schematic for it, they'll happily email it to you. Saw blades online @ Kingsley the other day for about $40 for a 16". Obviously a 14" would be cheaper and they (likely) won't last as long as a $350 blade, but you can cut a LOT of rocks with 9 cheap blades!
