Hey, you got pics posted. That's better than a lot of folks can do! Thanks for sharing, some nice looking stones. So, does the Wisconsin moonstone have a flash like Labradorite?

Haha, yeah the cloudinary setup was a bit rough, and I didn't take note of my cloudinary name so had to scour around and guess at it...but I managed to do it all from my android phone so it is possible, just have to pay attention to the details!
About the wisconsin moonstone, yes it does have the classic moonstone flash and is pretty much the only moonstone I know of with a blue flash (outside of some incredibly expensive "rainbow" moonstones i have seen online). Some peices will have a blue flash when oriented one way and then if you turn them 180 degrees will have a silver more classic moonstone flash. It is commonly mistaken for labradorite by folks in other areas however this is an anorthoclase feldspar (granite) whereas labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar if memory serves. Has something to do with the potassium content.
It is also a very brittle material to work with and often time will break during the lapidary process so I am extremely satisfied when I get a finished peice!!
