Sharing in the hopes someone else has experienced or knows why the left hand side of the cabking is vibrating so much. Right hand side no issues at all. Wheels are on correctly per the manual. Everything is tight. Nothing seems out of whack until you turn it on. I do have an email into the company, but thought I'd reach out here too. Thanks for any thoughts.

Peta, I don't have a Cab King, but I think that usually indicates that the wheels on that side need to be balanced.
Someone else will come along who knows way more about machines than I do to help you out.

I don't know how to balance wheels. I would suggest swapping one wheel from the right to the left until you identify which one is out of balance. If you can't identify the wheel you have a more serious problem. If you can, visually check the out of balance wheel. Either way, contact cabking support.
I agree it's probably a balance issue. Not to familiar with the Cab king but can you mark the sides of the wheels, and the arbor, then loosen and rotate one or two wheels and see of it gets better or worse.
For Balance you can try loosening the left hand nut, turn one wheel 1/4 turn, tighten back down then check how it acts. FYI the left side is reverse threaded, just turn the wrench in the direction the wheels spin to loosen, and so on. Other possibilities, are all the feet on the base in contact with the table it's on? Is the motor bolted securely to the base?

Thank you! I did email them yesterday and will call on my lunch if no response by then.

Thank you! If anything this is a good learning for me lol...I'm so not mechanically inclined!

Thank you! I did initially have it sitting on a foam mat that I think was making the issue worse. I've removed it and its currently sitting on a plastic cover over the table. I didn't check the motor bolts, but I don't see any movement with the motor itself. Will double check that when i get home.

So after some suggestions from CabKing, much of the same offered here, and troubleshooting at home we've determined that the motor and shafts are solid - they run very smooth with nothing on them. Right hand side seems good, no vibration with only those wheels, left hand side, minimal vibration, but I think that minimal vibration is translating up through the drip pan and hood cover on that side - which are really just plastic and thin metal. Will get some foam tape and see if I can fill in those gaps that are vibrating and go from there. i removed all matting, with the exception of a clear plastic table cover (and may try a towel under there for sh**s and giggles), but I think all-in-all it's the drip pans causing the issue. I'll reach back out to CK if the foam tape doesn't solve the problem. Thanks all for your thoughts and suggestions.

I wouldn't be thrilled by the response. They must sell a lot of these and yours can't be the only one with the problem. The fix should not need to be done by the customer.
The hard wheels are typically on the left side of a cabbing machine and they are heavier. Have you tried switching wheels from left to right to see if one is out of balance. My Genie has a removeable right side arbor and I use three. The first set is about the same as what is typically on the left side. I started this when I couldn't remove the wheels from my left side. It eventually came loose by itself but I stayed with what I was using.
As others have said, it’s most likely an unbalanced hard wheel or wheels. I have noticed soft wheels being out of round a little which could cause vibration too.
If any two wheels have their heavy side facing the same direction, it would amplify any vibration. You could try loosening one of the shaft end nuts and turning one of the wheels 180°. Retighten and test. In other words, you might be able to better balance the shaft by turning the wheels relative to each other. I hope that makes sense. You’ll never get rid of all vibration My whole bench vibrates when the machine is on. Loose items sitting on the machine will walk around quite a bit and loose items on the bench will rattle.
I don't have a CabKing...so I was waiting to see if anyone had encountered this on their CabKing.
When I first got my KNC6, I too had a vibration...but I determined mine was from the polishing disk. It was "skewed" ever so slightly, but it was causing the right side of my machine to vibrate. I could feel it through the 3000 wheel big time (which is right next to the polishing disk). I contacted KN and they sent me a replacement disk and it solved the vibration immediately upon installation of the new disk.
Just a suggestion...maybe pull off the end disk (the left one) and run the machine and see if you still feel the vibration. It might be worth checking out...
*Edit - I just looked up pics and see your disk is on the right side...not the left side...so...this probably isn't your problem...

Thanks stardiamond. I haven't tried switching the hard discs to the other side - that's a good idea. Hubby wondered if moving the disc order so one hard disc is on each side would help - still keeping them in order, but just moving by one? Haven't tried that either. I'm so disappointed because I waited so long to do this and when I finally do I still can't use it for fear of making things worse.

The vibration is minimal until the drip pans/hood goes on - and I wonder if it only does it on the left because of the heavier wheels - stardiamond suggested switching sides, which I'll try tonight. I'm not fussed with some vibration and it's good to know that you are also experiencing that somewhat, as long as it's supposed to be there, but I dont want to throw bearings, or other moving parts out of whack by using it if it's off center...I didn't get a chance to troubleshoot last night because of my daughter's open house for school (yippee!), but will work on it more tonight. Thanks, Brent!

Thanks Jason! Yeah, both the polishing pad and flap lap are on the right, although! I did watch a video where I can take one of my electroplated discs from the slant lap and affix it to the left hand side! But I don't think I'm going to do that, especially since I'm having issues on that side - I need to do a bit more troubleshooting by moving things around and see what happens. Hope to do that tonight.

Peta, it occurred to me that the vibration is probably still there even with the pans off. You are just hearing it more when you put the loose parts back on because they loose pans on, they are vibrating and making noise because the machine is. I'm convinced it's an unbalanced wheel. It takes some fiddling to balance wheels (trial and error), but it can be done with some patience.

I agree with Robin, it certainly seems like the wheels.
I didn't read the whole thread, but one of the things I did when this happened to me (one of the times) was to mark the high spots in the soft wheels by holding a marker close to the running wheel. Then turn the wheels so the high spots are at opposite points. The high spots most likely indicate more weight as they have more coating on them. Another thing that has worked for me-- and don't flame me anyone, cause it worked-- was to run the wheels slightly loose so the weights can find their own balance. I did have some success with that. jasoninsd remember when my wheels were loose and spinning backwards? After I tightened them up a little and ran them they started to wobble less and less. However, I tolerate a slight vibration because it is such a pain to do one wheel a fraction of a turn at a time.

Yes - it's definitely much much less, but it's still there. I'll plan on going down tonight and trying to identify which wheel - I've gotten some great pointers here and consensus seems to be that the wheels are unbalanced. Thanks so much, Robin!

Thanks so much, rockjunquie. This makes sense. I'll be troubleshooting over the next couple of days so I can get down there this weekend and work!! I have a couple of things to try before moving each wheel inch by inch, but will definitely do that if the other solutions (like swapping sides to see if the left side makes the right vibrate) don't work. I appreciate your suggestions!!
I don’t like seeing the two heaviest wheels* out on the end of a shaft. I know that’s how CabKing sets ‘em up but I’d run one on each side closest to the motor.
* presuming the hard wheels are heavier than the ‘Novas’.
Consider the Earth’s history as the old measure of the English yard, the distance from the King’s nose to the tip of his outstretched hand. One stroke of a nail file on his middle finger erases human history.
