Spent 2 hrs on the road and 8 hrs selling as a vendor at a show today then another 2 hours cabbing tonight to make more wraps for the show tomorrow. Its been a long day but I bought some killer fordite from the Jeep plant and really wanted to see it cabbed. I have cabbed plenty of this stuff over the years and this new material did not disappoint. I will probably end up getting enough of it to make about 50 cabs. I'll post more when I have more time. This was the first one done Chuck

That looks great. Nice bullseye! I tried a round one with Fordite. The layers were uneven and it makes the cab look lopsided even though it's not.

That is amazing! What a perfect circle and the inner circles are all so even! I love it!

That's so cool that you can just go to the plant and get the stuff. Great cab!

That is amazing! What a perfect circle and the inner circles are all so even! I love it! The challenge of fordite bullseyes is fun for me. I have probably made over a hundred Fordite cabs and the wild crazy patterns are fun but there is no challenge in that. I think the concentric circles reminds me of art when they are done right. There is a bit of trust involved with this material. With rocks it would be hard to sell tiger eye labeled rose quartz but with the paint it is a bit harder to tell. I took a photo of the sellers bin and labeling. I did end up buying everything they had that was cab worthy. Figure it is enough for about 40 cabs like the one above. They will all look very similar though so I will not make too many at a time. Just make a few and when they are gone make a few more. Chuck

Chuck, that's a really good point about the "bullseye" being a more difficult pattern to capture. I do like the wild crazy patterns Fordite can produce...but I totally respect the ability to capture the bullseye!

I saw the pudding stone ring you made a while back. If small enough, (can’t quite tell by the picture above) these bullseye Fordite cabs would look great set in a ring!👍
