I'll start with two this time and hopefully they come out okay. I posted a whole mess of them on here yesterday and immediately deleted when I saw the quality of the pictures!

I love the first one. What is it? Thanks Tela, the first is Hornitos Poppy Jasper. I need to figure out my pics. They're better than the first but still look like crap.

What is the blue one and the one with green in it (may have asked you about that before).

I'm trying to do this on my phone as it's so much easier to post but I'm about to switch to the Canon. The blue one is Larimar from the Dominican Republic. I'm still learning to work with it. That's a freeform cab as my larger one crumbled. It's really hard and tough to grind but is sensitive to vibration. Tried cutting on my 7" tile saw and it just fell apart. It doesn't like the 80 grit wheel either so it's really slow going. It's beautiful stuff though. Like a cloudy sky. The last one with the green is quarts with malachite and something else, maybe chrysocola.

Your new pictures look really nice. Ya I’ve found that a simple background change can make such a difference. The color can make the camera react differently. It seems your camera likes that quartz background. I love the kaleidoscope, 2nd leopard skin, and crazy lace. That leopard skin is really unusual with the quartz or agate seam running through it and the crazy lace has a cool geometric pattern. Very nice work. And, trying to keep everyone straight here, didn’t you recently do a bunch of work upgrading and improving your shop space? Seems you are making a lot of nice progress lately. 👍

Maybe something that needs to be sttabilized?

I guess until I find something else I have backgrounds for light and dark cabs now. The last cab with all the quartz looks absolutely horrible on the quartz (thunderegg) background. Some like the Larimar are pretty neutral and look as good on the light or dark. That Leopard skin is sold as old stock and is pretty heavily silicated. It works and polishes nicely. It's from a piece of rough I got from lapidarycentral. Brian has an auction most Saturday evenings on FB and I've purchased quite a few rocks form him. It's a fun auction with some great deals. Yes I did upgrade my space and I've been kicking out a ton of stuff. I've been slabbing all day. Just haven't posted a lot of it lately. I think I've had a day or 2 where I've done about 15 cabs! Thanks Chris, the photography is getting better. I'm trying to do this on my phone as it's so much easier to post but I'm about to switch to the Canon. I don't know much about stabilization (I need to learn) but I don't really think that would help much as it's so hard. I think of stabilization for the softer crumbly stuff. At least with using a bandsaw now I can split the pieces I have. The tile saw just destroys it. I split about 1/2 dozen stones the other day with no catastrophes.

Was this smiley face planned? LOL Your polish on all these is outstanding. Some of these are extremely "finicky" material to work with...but with your results, people wouldn't know that! Truly a fantastic job. The colors in that Larimar are SO stunning!

I didn't really see the smiley until I posted. Don't know how I missed it! Now I need some new templates. I've really been gravitating towards teardrops, especially the long ones.

I also really like that “quartz, malachite, and something else” and it looks really nice on that darker earth toned background. Really helps the green and white to pop.👍

Now I know why I didn't see the smiley face. It didn't have eyes until the light reflections. I also really like that “quartz, malachite, and something else” and it looks really nice on that darker earth toned background.
