This was filler material and side cuts used to get volume when added to the media. One picture shows soft tigereye cut

out by the grit and another shows open straws in low quality palm wood.

The orbicular Jasper has multiple soft eroded areas.

Dshanpnw, I have purchased different material over the years where part of the slab is not good for my use but is good for places like the nature center and schools for young children. I sift the mix through a 1/2 inch hardware screen and reuse this part in the next tumble plus more scrap/media until I get the correct volume.
