Nice junk! Some orby goodness in that one. Should yield some nice cabs.

Morrisonite has become so expensive that I rarely buy any. Buying rough is a real crapshoot because the rock usually doesn't give up its secrets. Most of the Morrisonite on eBay is overpriced junk. Your junk pile is far superior.

Thank you guys. The thing with my “junk” pile that’s important to note is that this was all material from 40+ years ago. So to the old timers, in there defense, is that this stuff probably was junk/average material to them. I look at some of the museum stuff my grandpa left me and the stuff in the pile pales in comparison. Good scores for me all around tho 😂

Wow, that's another beauty! Yeah. Its actually a pretty decent sized chunk as well. When I found it at the bottom of the pile, it was a big seam piece that was still incased between the host. Probably a 40 ish pound chunk. Si I had to take a chisel and break down the host material to get it into my saw. Got quite a few slabs. Since they are so large, I'll probably cab one slab and the rest will get face polished for display.

Over the winter months, my plan is to go completely through the pile. Pull out all the super rare or high grade material. Once I get out what I want, my plan is to open it up to .25-.50 a lb and try to sell it all off. There is still lots of really good material in there, but due to me having such a large stock of some, I just want it gone. Plumes, jaspers, limb cast, wood, etc. Lots of old time classic central Oregon materials.
