So here is my lucky score of the year! dillonf shared an ebay post for a 14" saw in Marysville Oh that was pick up only... bid on it and won the bid (guy actually reached out and asked about ending auction early if we could pick it up this weekend)! Drove down today to pick it up and guy came down another $25!! Handed him $450 with the thought the pump will need replaced and maybe the belt. Got it home, hubby wrapped up the electrical cords, plugged it in with some water (didn't turn on the water valves to the blade) and everything works - pump runs, belt is good. Blade looks minimally used! Ordered oil tonight and as soon as it arrives we'll be a-slabbin'! Feeling pretty stoked with this. Pump will need replaced eventually, but for now it's good. **Edit to say, this pic was taken before the cords were wrapped. They are pretty ratty here**

That’s so nice! Sawing rocks is fun, even with my 4” saw! Enjoy!

I'm really glad it worked out for y'all! Thanks again!! I never would have known if you didn't share so I appreciate that you do that! Cool. I know it's an exciting feeling. I have so many big rocks I can't wait to get going lol... Not gonna lie. I'm envious! LOL Congrats Peta!! (And please extend a big "thank you" to your husband for knowing how to get that saw into a safe mode for you to run it!! ) It's a really good score - especially since it likely wouldn't have happened if I had to go the 'new' route! I will tell him - he's really good at that kind of thing, thankfully. i'm learning, but i'll never have the inherent skill set that mechanically inclined folks do That’s so nice! Sawing rocks is fun, even with my 4” saw! Enjoy! Thanks, Pat!! It really is fun - I still will use my 5" saw, just for smaller items...this other saw might eat those alive lol..

I will say as someone who was slow to come around to this saw, now I absolutely LOVE mine. The vice & moving saw setup makes it incredibly easy to slab evenly and it holds almost *everything* I stick in it (suck on that, Covington). Two suggestions for you though - 1) get some sort of screen around it because it does mist oil a fair bit (even just some clamps and cardboard mounted around the sides helps tons!) and 2) don't stand in front of it when you start your blade or you may find yourself wearing the latest in saw oil fashion Hope it brings you many years of service!

Thank you!! yes - we've experienced the misting already lol...Hubby has come up with a temporary solution, but we'll find a firmer one soon. and I love the fact that 6 rotations gets you a nice thickness and it's consistent! Super easy to use.
