Okay, here are some pics of the rock box as I got it and how it's going out. Cal and I did our thing at the same time so it wouldn't have to make another trip cross country. First 3 pics are what was in it. What I took out What I put in Hey Randy, since ya said ya didn't have rocks on your beaches back there, I filled every little nook and crany on the top of the box with Calif beach rocks. I had more rocks to put in there, but they wouldn't fit. Ed

Ooooooooooo what is that green and pink stuff in the third picture? Whoever put that in, do you have any left you might want to sell a couple of pieces? (I know, I'm such a begger). It's just too gorgeous to believe. LOL Wow Ed looks like you had more fun stuffing it than you should have. Hope the little ones make it to you Randy.

They'll make it there Cher. When I tape up a box, I tape ALL seams and double them up. And I pay particular attention to the corners. That green and pink stuff is budstone from Cal.

Sweet, that's some great stuff Ed! I'm looking forward to this, and have some more great stuff to add after I'm finished pilfering the box myself. ;D After it leaves my hands, these rocks may never see US soil again, maybe I should give them a ceremony or something. Hmmmm, I'll just play "Born in the USA" by Bruce Springstein....really loud. Look out Canada, rocks are coming soon!!

...lol... Just have to say that it's been pretty entertaining reading about the travels and adventures of the RTH rock box! The idea of shipping a 50# box of rocks around the country (and Canada too!) with folks just taking and replenishing rocks as they wish...well frankly it doesn't sound like it could work...but for the outstanding members of this board it's easy. You guys should really be proud of this! Like I said it's been fun to watch what like minded, caring, generous people can do when they set their minds... Rock on Ya'll!

I'm heading to the post office in about 10 min. Hey, maybe a final farewell for the box after it makes it's Canadian round would be to ship it off to England, let it go around there with it ending it's journey at Mark's house. I think it only fitting.

That's a great idea Ed, if we all chip in a buck, we'd have enough for the shipping, even from Canada though it might be cheaper to ship it back to the US and send it from here. Oh, and I'm with Kim, I'd say unikite, my budstone doesn't look anything like that at all.
Oh Cal, can you confirm please?

Hey Cher, that looks like the unakite I put in when I had the box. PM your address and I'll split what I have left with you.
