If tldr: 1. Any reviews on agglomerate sc belts/how aggressive/how long do they last? 2. Preference on brand of 3000 grit diamond belt Hello friends, I have been researching belts to put on a machine with expandable drums and have decided to try out the "agglomerate" belts from kingsley north. The thing is these belts are only available to 1200 grit. Since I typically process to 3000 grit I will be needing to buy a 3000 grit diamond belt. Seeing as these belts are quite expensive im hoping to get some opinions/reviews of the different brands on offer... I have found the following options: (Cheaper to expensive) Eastwind diamond belt $110.70 kingsleynorth.com/8-x-3-eastwind-diamond-belt.html#860=26026&863=260723M diamond belt $158 kingsleynorth.com/3m-diamond-belts-8.html#860=26026&863=26056Crystalite 3500 grit (resin diamond polishing system) $150 kingsleynorth.com/crystalite-diamond-belts-resin-diamond-polishing-system.html#860=26033&863=26083One final question, a user reviewed the agglomerate belts on our forum and said they cut really aggressively (the 120 grit performed closer to an 80), while the mls catalog has an asterisk by silicon carbide belts stating that they cut much finer (600sc performs similar to diamond 1800). It has been 20+ yrs since I've used sc belts and honestly I don't remember much about them other than that they didn't last long. If you have tried the agglomerate belts how long have they lasted? Im thinking 5 agglomerate belts will likely outlast 1 diamond belt at 1/5 the total price. As always, thanks much! Josh
