Are you sure they are actually all jaspers?

Some stones are called "jaspers" even though they are not. For example, "bumblebee jasper", which is actually calcite. And "rainforest jasper" is actually a rhyolite.

Cerium oxide on leather or felt. I've had good results with *some* Jaspers like Biggs and Noreena. They get a glassy shine after 3000 grit->Cerium Oxide. Some others like MHPJ are more difficult

Howdy,
The leather disk i have on my bullwheel
Spins 50 bazillion rpm.
It gets hot QUICK.
It has enough optical grade cerium loaded in it to
Polish any polish flint( you like how i did that?)
Speed and heat are your friend.
I squirt the wheel with some water ( misting)
And let her rip.
Beware of overheating certain agates ..
You can crack em
Trial and error as usual.
Mostly error for me
But i have to try😊
Also…
Any hairlines or scratches will show up
Quick so be sure you have done your diligence
On the first 6-8 wheels before polishing
I have to say though, the reward is worth it
And is a night and day comparison.
