This is bad...I've been dinking around for the last 15 minutes or so marking shapes on a copy of your picture just to see what I would do with that one! LOL I can see you've got some alternating "overhangs" on the edges...which are different whether you mark the front or the back...which will be a challenge in choosing sides... Yup. I noticed that. The sweet spot to me is that orby section, but that will lay waste to too much, I think. I'll have to play with this a bit.
ETA Can you show me what you have done?

I'd love to...but I kept drawing...then erasing...then drawing...then erasing. Finally I just deleted the pic! LOL When I get home tonight, I'll redraw what I was thinking. So...to me, that "orby" spot is the priority spot for a cab. Everything else or anything else become secondary or tertiary. (I know you know...but I'm saying this for anyone just starting out who might be reading this.) When I first started, I was all about getting as many cabs out of a slab that I could. I didn't want to waste anything. I soon realized I had a TON of "ok" cabs or preforms. Now, when I look at a slab, I'm looking for the BEST possible cab to be had out of the slab and the rest doesn't matter. Of course I'm hoping for multiple "great" cabs out of a slab...but I won't sacrifice that one "awesome" cab just so I can get a few more cabs out of the slab.

Now I go straight for the sweet spot and deal with the rest. I had SOOOOOO many preforms that I knew I would never cut. I sold and gave away most. And, now my "OK" cabs are fridge magnets. Whenever anyone comes over, I tell them to take a few. LOL!

Beautiful slab. Infinite possibilities. You’re going to get some amazing cabs from that.
