You have a lot of stunners in there!

This is a truly spectacular batch! The ones you move on to step 2 are very ready to me. Your favorite one looks very promising. I will move slowly with it (maybe do more incremental rounds in step 2 than one big round in step 1?) to reveal more eyes but not risk losing the existing great features. But maybe I am a bit paranoid - it seems to be a big agate that won't change dramatically for another step 1 run.

These are so beautiful. I look forward to these clean out threads. Thank you and welcome to the forum. You have a lot of stunners in there! Thanks. It’s actually better than expected. Thanks PS. I struggle with when to move them on. My natural tendency is to let them roll until there are no more pits. The pits are kind of attractive on some of these lakers. I really like the eye agates too. That big red one is the best eye agate I’ve tumbled so far. It’s very different from your Gobis.

Your lakers seem to be large and solid, and the eyes seem to be deep, so I believe rolling another week should be fine. It is really only the top-right part that covers some white eyes that I would love to grind off.

Such a beautiful satin look on the penultimate and third-to-last pictures!

Your lakers seem to be large and solid, and the eyes seem to be deep, so I believe rolling another week should be fine. It is really only the top-right part that covers some white eyes that I would love to grind off. I need to quit being lazy and put my cabber back together. It will take that patch off pretty quick. It got me eyeing the similar pit and skin to the left too. Maybe there’s another eye under that. It will be awhile before there are enough for stage 2. I just need to remember it. Such a beautiful satin look on the penultimate and third-to-last pictures! Thanks. They should transition nicely to stage 2. The goal is to go to stage 2 in the 12 pound tumbler. It’s going to be hard to wait for that much to be ready, especially once there is enough to fill a three pound barrel. Loving 'em Brent!! That last one you showed really is a stunning specimen! Thanks Jason. Isn’t that a dandy? I need to go back to find pictures of it rough. The other side is pretty nice too. It’s in the third to last photo, bottom left.

Sweet batch! That coin is awesome too! You inspired me to do a big monoculture batch soon . . . I'm just not sure what it will be?

These are a few photos of cleanout nine. The first photos are the ones that jumped out at my eye. Dry and wet. These are moving on to stage two from this cleanout. I was expecting more but the whole batch is maturing nicely. This is the accumulated rocks moving on. I think it would fill a three pounder. I haven’t checked the fit because I would be too tempted to start it rolling. These are the replacement rocks. I must be doing something right because the volume went down even though there weren’t too many moving on. Thanks for looking.

Man. I have to say that the updates to this post are usually the highlight of my day! And the best part? We still have the rest of the stages to look forward to!
You're doing an amazing job on these, and I think we all appreciate the time and effort you're taking in posting them!
Thank you!

It’s been so much fun doing the cleanouts. It’s like I’m a little kid or a first time tumbler. I can barely wait to see how the next cleanout will look. I’ve been adjusting how I display them and what photos to post. Hopefully it stays interesting.

Sweet batch! That coin is awesome too! You inspired me to do a big monoculture batch soon . . . I'm just not sure what it will be? The biggest thing that is keeping this monolithic is that I already had a bunch of small lakers. Without them it would be tough. I was collecting the small ones for years.

I also wanted to mention that coin...At the beginning I didn't know how big an 1885 one dollar coin is and had to google it. Looks great progress and some of the replacements are very promising.

Cleanout 10 is complete. Here are a few photos. I tried to pick out some new rocks to show. These kind of caught my eye. Dry and wet. The split rock in the photos broke nearly perfectly. There was one big crack right through the middle. One tap with the mini ball peen and it broke like this. It actually broke on the crack. These are some of my favorites in this cleanout. Left to right, very cool colors, the nicest eye agate that’s been in my tumblers, purple and golden agate, amazing parallax shadows on the right one. These are moving on to stage 2. I only added one big handful of small LSAs for replacement. Thanks for looking.

I like the big orange one in the last photo. At first I thought it was huge, then realized you switched the nickle for the silver dollar. Very tricky.
