I started this one for the October competition but then bailed on it when I realized I didn't have the right bits for my rotary tool to do the sides and I couldn't pull it off on the wheels. Not enough space in between.

I made this on years ago. Anyone want to guess the material?

Thanks Tela! I needs a lot of work on the edges, you can see the irregularities. I think I need some Nova points! I have an old Highland Park 8" cabber that I was going to sell. I think I might keep it. Two hard wheels that have several inches of space between them then an 8" expando that has lots of room around it. I already have a set of diamond belts for the expando. A lot of stuff I can do on the edge of the wheels that I can't do on the KN cabber, including doing the final shaping on my wife's glass hearts. You need some room to grind the cleavage.

Yeah, my Gene lacks a lot of space, too. Hey, if you already have the HP and it comes in handy, then totally keep it. I have a lot of tools that I don't use all the time, but when I need them- nothing else will do.

Not enough space in between. That’s really neat Gary. Do you think you could tumble it or is that the plan already?

That is a seriously cool bat, Gary! Lots of time when into that, I bet.

rockbrain I had the same idea, and also the same lack of time and ability to pull the right tools together. There were a few silhouette shapes I was looking at trying. Definitely a job for the Foredom and more/better grinding bits. Look forward to seeing yours done at some point.

rockbrain - If you're bored...search the forum for Batcave threads from Highplainsdrifter. He made a bat from Batcave Jasper that is off the charts! I love what you've got going on with yours! I'd definitely be setting that bat aside for "when" you do get the right tools. You and I both know it's only a matter of time before you can justify the "need" for those tools! LOL
