I don't usually weigh my rocks. But wanted to do an experiment so I did this time. My 5lb bags only weighed around 4.106. Is that alot missing. Should I be concerned about it?

Depends on what you paid. If you ordered expensive rock then yes I would contact the seller. If you order fifty cent a pound stuff, then I wouldn't be super concerned. Also make sure your scale is accurate. I have a postal scale (from stamps.com no less) that is horribly inaccurate. I have another scale (cheap Chinese junk scale) that is ultra accurate (when used with a calibrated brass weight).

Like stefan said it was B grade and on sale so I probably lost .15 per ounce on 10lbs. Not a problem. I'll just let it go. But I will weigh in the future. Just to see. I'm pretty sure my scale is accurate.

I'm guessing that might be 4 lbs 10.6 oz on many digital scales? or 4.7lbs, at least that's closer to 5. At least I've often seen folks make that same mistake with the scale I use, the tiny little lb indicator looks like a decimal point. But then again might be some scales that think you need to be accurate to a thousandth of a pound.

I'll take that 😆. Just want to be sure I can get at least 3 even Barrels. Two test and a final. First time with soft stones and want to try some things I've learn on the forum.

Things like this do happen to me on occasion, but not very often and I don't even check that often. I've had nearly 100% success so far with a message something like the following:
"Thanks for selling me the banded chert. I look forward to tumbling it. The person that packs your boxes for you must have let you down a little bit because it contained only 4.2 lbs instead of 5.0. I'm not accusing anyone of doing it on purpose. Mistakes happen--I'm human and have made plenty of them myself. Since it contained 16% less material than was purchased, could you please adjust my purchase price by 16% and refund me $2.26. Feel free to round down to $2 to make it easy. Have a good week."
There is some intended psychology in that to keep things friendly. Even if you know somehow that the person that will receive your message is the same person who actually packed the box, I recommend not deviating from the wording I used in that 3rd sentence.
Once or twice a seller has asked to receive a photo of the material. Almost never has the refund been rounded down, it's usually been rounded up! I have even had sellers refund the entire amount over my objections and even refuse to reveal their true shipping address to me so I can mail them a check to even it out! Once when that happened, I tried to PayPal them to even it out and the PayPal money was refused by the seller!
