Anyone know what this stuff is and where it comes from? I'm thinking its quartz with Azurite, but honestly have no idea. Found in the junk pile.

The blue is azurite. You can also see traces of dark green, which is the malachite. Azurite eventually turns in to malachite, which is why they are both often found together.
The matrix is more than likely mainly dolomite (calcium, magnesium carbonate), which is commonly associated with copper ores, and minor calcite and quartz.
As for location, hard to say as there are so may locations where azurite is found. From the look though I would say most likely an Arizona mine, or a Nevada mine.

Interesting… if that is what it is. Then maybe it’s not crap at all. Found a bunch of that stuff in there.
