It has that nice "arts and crafts" look like early 20th century metal work. I often prefer a hammered look over a smooth look.

It looks like you are really enjoying the hammered method. This one makes a nice frame for that picture jasper. Are you starting to keep your family up too late at night? I've had that be an issue before, wanting to keep going, and trying to hammer less noisily!

I really like the design on this one, rockbrain. I think a patina on the copper would make the picture stone stand out a little more. It kind of blends in the with metal, but either way it's a great design!

Beat one, yet! I REALLY like this. I'll echo the Arts and Crafts frame. Very nice.

That one is nice, very different, much more sophisticated looking. Boy, now I know why you chose that hammered theme- you've ran with it !

I like that. I was playing around with something similar when I was electroforming. I like the look a lot

Another one I just finished up. I'm posting too many on November challenge so I decided to make a new thread. *Really* nice! But--I've got a design worked out that is somewhat similar, so I will now move on to Plan B. Or I will complete it and call it "The Rockbrain Clone" with pride! Of course, with my usual haphazard wrapping style, mine would look nothing like this when done. Truly, a great wrap, and just perfect for its subject.

Gary, what's catching my eye on your recent designs, is how "clean" the connecting wires to the frame are. They're very deliberate, and very well executed!

It has that nice "arts and crafts" look like early 20th century metal work. I often prefer a hammered look over a smooth look. Thank you! The hammered definitely looks better than the plain wire. I've been doing all these hammered ones with #12 romex like you would use in house wiring. It looks like you are really enjoying the hammered method. This one makes a nice frame for that picture jasper. Are you starting to keep your family up too late at night? I've had that be an issue before, wanting to keep going, and trying to hammer less noisily! Thanks! I'm loving it. This is actually the first one I planned on hammering but got to the others to help me work this one out. Still learning a lot from all of these but I think Im getting my method down pretty well. I really like that design! Thanks Chris, I appreciate it. I really like the design on this one, rockbrain . I think a patina on the copper would make the picture stone stand out a little more. It kind of blends in the with metal, but either way it's a great design! Thanks! I do plan on putting a patina on this. I just need to do a few more wraps as I like to tumble and patina several at a time. Beat one, yet! I REALLY like this. I'll echo the Arts and Crafts frame. Very nice. Thanks Tela! I thought this one needed a picture frame. That one is nice, very different, much more sophisticated looking. Boy, now I know why you chose that hammered theme- you've ran with it ! Patty Thanks Patty, I try to pick a theme that is something that I want to learn to do. I like that. I was playing around with something similar when I was electroforming. I like the look a lot Thanks! I appreciate it. Another one I just finished up. I'm posting too many on November challenge so I decided to make a new thread. *Really* nice! Of course, with my usual haphazard wrapping style, mine would look nothing like this when done. Truly, a great wrap, and just perfect for its subject. Thanks! You should complete yours. There's only so many ideas and it is a picture frame. Thanks so much. Gary, what's catching my eye on your recent designs, is how "clean" the connecting wires to the frame are. They're very deliberate, and very well executed! Thanks Jason. It was deliberate. I've tried drawing stuff out but it was just never my thing. Instead I go over it thoroughly in my head. This ones been bouncing around in my noggin for a couple of weeks! That has a very organic feel to it. Looks great. Thanks! Organic is good.

I've got a design worked out that is somewhat similar, so I will now move on to Plan B. Or I will complete it and call it "The Rockbrain Clone" with pride! I apologize Susan, I kept meaning to post and say that a variation on the same theme is always welcome. I'm certain that a different stone, and even a slightly different twist on the copper border makes it your own style.
I look forward to seeing it.

Not a problem, Patty, I'm now screwing up (repeatedly) Plan B, rather than Plan A. If I ever get something I like I will regale all with the gory details. . .I've even saved the wire I cut away.

I couldn't agree more! The entire theme of landscape jasper with a frame around is certainly not original either. Thanks Dillon! Another one I just finished up. I'm posting too many on November challenge so I decided to make a new thread. WOW! Thank you Time!

This one is waiting for patina still but it'll be a few days till I have enough ready. I didn't realize how much it would look like a buffalo head!
