Hi Y'all. Does anyone know if you can still purchase IMESA Motors for the Lot-O? If so, where can you get them? Rock Shed and Kingsley have FASCOs listed as replacements.
I bought a used machine with an IMESA - put the IMESA on my frame because the FASCO died, and it works amazing - I think 85% of the issues with the new machines are due to the FASCO motor. I love the FASCOs on my rotaries, but they don't work well on the Lot-O. I basically want to know before I cut up the used frame I bought to add a concrete motor.
Any help appreciated!! Cheers!

I don't know if they were ever available for consumers to buy directly. When my Fasco motor died, I got my replacement from Kingsley North and what they sent me was Imesa. One of the bolts was stripped and I couldn't tighten it to the frame. I would have just bought a replacement, but it was a really odd size that I couldn't find even on the Internet. It was a carriage bolt that's really skinny and apparently it's not common for carriage bolts to be so skinny. It was 80mm long and only 4mm in diameter. I found Imesa's website and tried contacting them but never heard back. So I contacted Kingsley North and they attempted to reach out to their provider and was never able to get a response either. So Kingsley North actually ended up sending me the Fasco motor from their display model in their store since the shortage was still in full swing (maybe still is? I don't know) and they had no clue when they might get anything else in. In the meantime, I was able to get the Imesa motor working using a standard bolt with lock washers. The bolt was to long and so I had to cut it was my Dremel, but then couldn't get the nut on so had to get my FIL to use a tool to clean up the threads at the very end. So I have a backup Fasco motor if this one dies, but it's been about a year now and the Imesa motor seems to still be working great with no weird sounds indicating an impending problem. Maybe call Kingsley North and see if they have any info.

There is definitely a significant difference between the performance of the IMESA motor and that of the FASCO motor.
