The last purple cab contest brought back memories from about 10 years ago when a stranger wondered what I was doing and walked over from a garage sale across the street. He heard the noise from my flat top grinder and wanted to see what I was shaping. It turned out that he was mining purple opal (Morado) in Mexico and wanted to see if I was interested in buying some. These cabs are part of the free sample of leftover material in his truck for me to test. No, I didn’t purchase more because I had other material to work. Enjoy!

No, I don't remember, but I believe you. It's hard for me to keep up sometimes. Doh!

I had some slabs of it a long time ago. It was very fractured, but it was gorgeous.

Seeing it cabbed up, what victor has posted, I agree, its gorgeous material.
