Replaced 500AO with 1000AO in Lot-O

Just for kicks, I replaced my usual 500AO 2nd step in the Lot-O with 1000AO instead. I'm shocked at the results. This is some of the best shine I've had. They're like glass, especially the unakite and jaspilite. The hematite metallic just glimmers.
I still had the minimal undercutting from suspect mixed-hardness beach rocks, but even that is minimal.
I'm not really sure why it worked so well. I thought the rocks would need the larger 500 grit to grind a little longer before jumping to polish.
- Rotary until smooth
Lot-O (1/3 ceramics):
- 1/2 tbsp 120/220 SiC for 2 days
- 1/2 tsp 1000AO + 1/2 tbsp Borax for 3 days
- 1/2 tsp AO Polish + 1/2 tbsp Borax for 2 days
