Hi! I recently encountered a problem with my barrel leaking. When I opened it up to check it out, I realised that the inner lid with the rubber pad on it did not have a hole in the center. I then closed it back up with just that inner lid and tilted it about 40 degrees to the side. I realised that the barrel had stretched out to much and the inner lid and the barrel did not make a nice seal anymore. A way to fix this is to get a rubber band and put the inner lid on the barrel, and put the rubber band on the lip of the barrel, level with where the inner lid sits, make sure the rubber band is semi tight around the barrel. If you want to check and see if it is tight, tilt I the closed barrel at a 45 degree angle and see what happens. if it leaks one little droplet after holding it sideways for about 6 seconds or something like that, you are good to go! Happy tumbling!

I can see how that would work. The rubber band has to pretty tight though, and the outer lid has to fit over it. What type of barrel are you using, Lortone? Thanks for the tip.

Hi! I tried it out and it worked pretty well. It only has to be able to just get around the barrels circumference. Experimenting with different rubber bands can lead you to a nice seal.

Or just get a THumler's lol they basically use an o-ring to seal the barrel to the lid.
