Oh yeah!! Another breathtaking one Paul!! The cut on the slab on this one was perfectly done...along with the shape and finish on the cab itself!

Be very careful in working that material.

That is some cool stuff and you did a nice job with it. But oh so expensive from what I've seen.

For what it's worth:
Pietersite (and others like Tiger Eye) is one of several minerals that is known to contain significant amounts of asbestos, which is a major cause of irreversible, progressive, and terminal lung disease.
Studies also show that the greatest source of asbestos and related fibers for jewelers and lapidarist was the cleanup of the area.
It appears that after cutting/polishing with water to keep the dust down, the lapidarist's sweep up/cleaning of the work area was the major vector for the air borne particles of asbestos.
The last thing you want to do is contaminate yourself, your home, family members, or shop with asbestos dust.
Take care!
Our shop cannot allow this material to be polished on site due to the potential health liability and property damages or potential site environmental cleanup costs.
The finished material is truly very beautiful for the wearer, and safe to wear.
Bests regards, ThomasT

Good to know, I had never heard that. I've never worked with Pietersite, but I do have some Tiger eye and I have made a few cabs with it.
