Just wanted to show this awesome shelf and specimen bases I ordered from thejinxshelfshop.com/ . I ordered the V3 Tall shelf and 100 bases (and he sent me an extra 25!). I filled the shelf and used all but 15 bases but I have more rocks that didn't make it on the self that I might mount later, just have to find somewhere else to put them lol. I love the way this turned out, especially with the labels I added.

Before adding rocks, bases and shelf pieces came with protective paper

You are very organized and have a great display for your collection. This was my temporary display back in 2008 - the end table next
to the couch and in front of the TV. A perfect location.

RickB Yea those that didn't make the shelf are just sitting out just like that now. I knew I probably wouldn't be able to fit every rock I had on the shelf but I just kept finding more! and now I don't want to put them away in a box or drawer so they're just sitting out on a table for now... but it is fun to see them all!

Those look great! Thanks for the link. I'm going to check them out a bit more later on. I have a wall with glass cases. I think some of these could work really well inside for some of the smaller stuff. I don't envy you on dusting day!

rockbrain The website has different shapes and size shelves, and according to the reviews he can even make custom sized shelves. Personally I think the corner ones are pretty neat. The review photos are great for inspiration too. Dusting sucks and I am definitely not looking forward to it

I've seen the putty called museum putty and earthquake putty in some places.

If we were able to carry the love and tolerance shown here into the world as a whole and get anyone to follow the example set, who knows what could be born from that?

Thanks for posting this. I have a few specimens that could use this and yes, dusting really sucks.

If we were able to carry the love and tolerance shown here into the world as a whole and get anyone to follow the example set, who knows what could be born from that?
