So I made a thread a couple weeks ago about the QT-12 and how it's belt has already failed 2 times and how it made a squeaking noise. I have a new belt on its way so Im going to see how that turns out. Do you all think I should return it if it breaks again?

You could have just added to the original thread, but did you ever get in touch with Lortone? It's also hard to tell you what's wrong when we can't see any pictures. I think you need Lortone's help to see what's going on, but I think it's reasonable to return it if it's their manufacturing error.

Have you aligned the pulleys? I'd do that first.

It actually just broke an hour ago. So I'm going to return it. I'm sorry that there are no pictures, I have a bad quality camera.

Hi! No not yet, I tried and it would not let me access a upload page. The YouTube app is pretty foolproof.

It's simple, I know the tumbler is different than yours, but same process...go to 7:45 mark of this video...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRMdtMhAVoU

Check the plastic bearings, something is putting pressure on the belts.. If in doubt, strip it all down, check everything out and put it back together, about a twenty minute job..

While you are waiting for the new belt, check to see that there are no burrs or nicks on those pulleys, or that either has been pinched together.

Alright just fine sanded and I think successfully de-burred the pulleys with sandpaper and a Leather strop. Hopefully this was the cause of the issue

Sorry it's taken me some time to get around to a comparison video, but I'm posting this here before I forget. It may need some more time before it finishes processing by YouTube, but if I were to guess, like others I would say it's to do with belt alignment. Yours sounds normal while unloaded. rydersrocks
