Hi all. I'm gonna post a report on this trip in the general rocks section but thought I'd post the pics of the haul here. This doesn't include the jade Tony brought home. All I can say is WOW! Misc beach rocks pieces I found on the beach back lit Pieces Tony gave me from his hard work the big one-about 5lbs Thanks again Tony. Ed

Stoner
Again Tony proves what a great guy he is. Not only did he send out some jade to us poor folk who have no way of finding any on our own, but he showed you his personel treasure cove.
Your Aces Tony and Stoner thankyour blessings to count him as friend.

Those look incredicle, especially that big 5-lb'r. It looks like you want to take a big bite of it (owwwww!). It looks like a very good day at the beach. I hope the surf wasn't too dangerous there. Last time I went there (many years ago), I was bummed to see the waves crashing up the entire width of the beach up to the rocks. What are those little tan looking ones in the first photo? Steve

Most of the tan and other colored ones in the first pic are chert. Tony said he was having a tough time with the current. It was really cool standing next to the water and listening to the rocks being tumbled as the water washed back out. I'm talking big rocks, like the 5lber.

WoW, how cool is that. Looks like the two of you had a terrific time collecting rocks down there. I would have wasted all my time watching for his bubbles and to see his head come popping up in the surf. I don't like sharks, I think Tony is the bravest rock hunter I know and would be terrified just watching.

It was a successful trip, ed let me know when you are up to getting the 200 pounder. I can get it out of the ocean no sweat, its getting it over the car size boulders on the beach and up the cliff that would be the challenge ! Maybe we could get the Gemmaster to help. Cher, my wife gave up long ago watching me dive. She just decided to take out a large insurance policy on me !

Tony, where there's a will(or in this case jade) there's a way! We're supposed to be in for some stormy weather next week, so maybe some more jade will get stirred up. John, there's an awesome campground right there at the site, so just pull your house in there and let us know. I think if you parked there, you'd never want to leave.

Very neat haul Ed! looks like youeven did well on the beach. Only time I was there it was rough on the beach and murky in the water. Never did nearly that well. You guys got one beautiful day for collecting!...mel

We couldn't have picked a nicer day. There weren't many people there and with the recent storms alot of what got washed ashore hadn't been picked over yet.

Hey Gaetz. Long time not talk to. Hope all is well with you and your jr rockhounds and Mrs. gaetz. That big boy is gonna get slabbed up and made into all sorts of weird things. I really like this nephrite jade.
Take care, Ed
