Went out to collect some more marine coprolite a few days ago just outside of Las Vegas. My friend and I found some veins of what is known locally as "Henderson jade", which is actually a dark green chalcedony. The lighter green on the material is celadonite.

Looks interesting, especially the last, dark one. How well does it polish?

Looks interesting, especially the last, dark one. How well does it polish? It is a chalcedony, so it should polish great. I am planning to cut some tomorrow so I can cab it.

You might have just unknowingly identified some material for me. I’ll post pics tomorrow

Cool finds James! That second pic makes it look like Plasma Agate! There is a spot several miles away that is supposed to be a deposit of what was called "plasma agate" about 80 years ago. Have not gone to the spot yet because I have not figured out how to reach the spot yet. With all the development and preserves, many roads are blocked off. So, could be the same thing, just different names.
