I know it’s not. But the lighting and pics gives it a marcasite look

Yeah, I should have tried some different light. In person it looks a lot like Tiffany.

Yeah, I should have tried some different light. In person it looks a lot like Tiffany. I could definitely see that.

Looks nice, was the road blocked where Mark thought it might be?

We made it farther up the road than I thought was open by accident.

Mark K was there anything good above the creek? I think we'll take a drive up there soon.

Beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder.
We did not collect anything past the creek, we went back to hit the sure things and we hit it like it owed us money.

Hope you left me just a little... What I plan for it doesn't require the best at all though.

There are several centuries of collecting good stuff from there yet.

The amount of Pastelite on the side of the hill we stopped at is mind boggling.

I think it was the flat landing on the left.

Are there porous areas in the piece? Curious.

The flat landing on the left by MP12 or before it where it's in the road cut? What is MP12? Mile Post. There is a large flat graded area that a lot of people use for parking there. From about 11 miles to the creek is where I see all the pastellite, the stuff you got looks like the stuff in that area.

I know that at the bottom of the hill before you get to the river there is a big flat area that is dangerous to try to drive on when it is wet. I have seen some pretty big trucks stuck real deep in that clay. I recomend all stay off of it when it is wet.

Never ceases to amaze me, people do it year after year.

Beautiful rocks, rockbrain. As Ali mentioned, I was talking to Val about Burro Creek. I'm so bummed because a few years ago I was driving through there and stopped at the Burro Creek campground. Remembering mentions of it I thought this must be where some of the rock is collected. I drove over the bridge but being from Wisconsin where there's pretty much all private land I felt weird not knowing where I was going and if there was claims or something. I turned around and left. Val explained I was just a few miles from the pastelite and would've filled a pail in no time 🤦🏻 ETA - I thought I was replying to your pastelite post 🤣
