I went to a pay fish place today. 3 pounds...1st one is rainbow trout up to about a pound or so. $3.50 each 2nd pond some huge honking rainbow and steelhead up to about 3-5 lbs $15 each 3rd pond some real expensive Alaskan something or other..... Well it was fun, but not really a challenge as they are all farm raised.... One was 22 inches long and about pulled me into the pond as I wasn't expecting a hit that fast and hard, the other was about 21 inches, they weighed in around 3-4 lbs each So here are my 2 $15 fish minus the heads ( cleaned for 50 cents each ) I gave the two small ones away. $40 for 4 fish....just got my blood pumped for fishing season...

Yum. I love making fish jerky. In my parts besides being known as a rockhound, I'm also known for my salmon and beef jerkies.

How do they grow fish with no heads? I have seen char before, but they had heads, eyes, gills, and the could spot you a long away away. It shows how the effect of Global warming is mutating other species. Way cool!!!! How do they eat?

Well one of the reasons I haven't been around much is I have been fishing every day off I've had. Up until yesterday I have gotten skunked. But the lovely wife got me a new pole for my birthday and it got christened right! I got the big one about half hour after arrival at the lake, right after an older lady of about 80 pulled one in. Hers was a bit bigger but what the hey The little one I really think was a fluke, I had cast and the hook it the water and BOOM there it was LOL. I know why fly fisherman like their sport if you get instantaneous results.

Trout agate .... ROFLMAO We've got those muskies up here too, you find them in most of the lakes and rivers. Those buggers can get mighty ornery and have some really nasty teeth. Then there was the Minnesota Muskies back in the 60's ...

Xenas - whoa right up my street - nice catches for sure I dont do it to eat them - I just let them go - but I ate a few mackerel I got in Newquay and then some on a mates boat over north wales a couple of years ago. Xenas - you gotta steam those two in lemon and butter - well I would anyways - of course its up to your tastes what you do with them - let us know..,....... Mark
