Very nice!
I love aquariums. I don't have one currently, but hope to set one up again someday.

This is the first time I have not had one set up for quite a while. Actually I do have a 1 gallon in the garage with a little bit of moss, a small anubius nana (plant) and no livestock. I had set it up when I was down to 1 Bloody Mary shrimp.

Nice! Are those tetras? It's been a very long time since I've had an aquarium, but I used to have one and I think it was cardinal tetras I had.

The ones with the red stripes are dennison barbs. They're also known as rose line sharks or torpedo barbs. They get about 6 in long so a lot larger than the cardinals. Most barbs are pretty aggressive, but even though these get large, they're really peaceful and get along well with everyone.

You've probably said it before, but how big is your tank?

Bait!! When I saw the title I wondered if aquarium shots were related to jello shots!

A tank was getting pretty old and the bottom plastic frame actually developed a crack. At some point. I had had a couple of water accidents in the house that were pretty bad. I didn't even want to think about 100 plus gallons on the floor. It was in our dining area and the floor is being done is part of the kitchen remodel so I had to at least move it which would have been a lot of work. Before that I had a 92 gallon and my heart just wasn't in the 50% water changes every week.

Thank you for sharing! That sure is pretty. I could never get the hang of a planted tank on a college student's budget. I'd love to give it a shot again at some point, but I definitely feel you on the weekly obligations being draining at times. Pun intended.

Mark K, that's a serious amount of water! Are you all freshwater? Monster fish?

Thanks for the pictures! I would never have one, but I do love a pretty tank. So relaxing to watch. My grandson has 2 tanks and he's really into it.

After my divorce in 2002 I lived alone for 10 years and during that time I ended up with 14 tanks running with numerous breeder setups. MTS is a real condition haha Go figure, I was also an admin on a several tropical fish forums rockbrain thats was a beautiful tank! Too bad the time came to take it down.
