Hey guys , I have been away from cabbing for some time. I have a question. How many of you cab with a flat lap?? Is it as good as using the wheels? Or is that a matter of taste, situation , intended use etc? Anyway have a great day guys...

Welcome back!
You can cab on either, but wheels are way easier and faster than a flat lap. There are also limitations to a flat lap in terms of shapes (no inside curves, etc.). I started on a flat lap and graduated to a Genie eventually. Changing the discs on a flat lap can be a pain and it just takes longer to cut a cab on them.

I too started on a flat lap (slant cabber)...and it's night and day difference between the two. I can definitely do WAY more on the wheels than I could on the flat lap...
