so many people have been so generous to me lately, here is a peek "in progress" of what i've been working on: the cross mounting i ordered from Kingsley North and the Blue Lace that will get mounted (after a little more sizing) for my mom's birthday at the end of March. the Green Zebra cabs at the bottom are from Bikerrandy (thanks, darlin') the amethyst, rose quartz and rutilated quartz were from that box my local friend collected on her vacation in North Carolina, and the dryhead agate was from Alice and the "unknown" yummy stuff was from Steve Holmes. some close ups: this is the first rutile quartz i have worked with, weird stuff: thank you everyone for your kindness in giving me cool rock, like Stefan, i have a backlog of good stone waiting to be beautiful. and thanks for looking!! KD

All of those are just beautiful, especially the green zebra and the dryhead! That is a great bunch of cabs. I like the rutilated quartz and the amethyst too. Heck, I love em all, and you did a great job getting the shapes smooth. What kind of polish did you use for the blue lace agate? I keep getting polish in the stone from ceruim ox. Steve

Beautiful, as ever, KD. I have a couple of faceted rutilated quartz cabs that I picked up @ Mama's. I haven't decided what to do with them yet. The stuff fascinates me. S
