Probably just splitting hairs here but what you can't do is create a new thread in the marketplace and as the others have said it has to do with your post count. Creating new threads in the Marketplace requires a post count of 100 community quality posts. smc one of the things that makes this place magical is we are a community, and we know each other. I've bought and sold many things on the marketplace here and I've never had any problem getting cheated. A mechanism that Tommy uses to keep it this way is the vetting process that weeds out those who would be predatory in the marketplace. Unfortunately, it's a bit inconvenient for newcomers or low post members like yourself, but it seems it's the price we must pay to safeguard RTH. That being said, welcome to the community and we look forward to getting to know you.

This is a really cool threat. In a day and age where things are crazy. Community closeness and awareness are very comforting. BTW my names Mia. I am a new member and lifetime rock and mineral lover. Myself and my partner Biggen are avid rockhunters. Hes a lifelong Tennessean, I've been here going on 4 yrs, and its absolutely beautiful here ,and this is our first year of several times a week geode agate, mineral hunting.... there's just soooo many amazing rocks in Tennessee.... every where you look is a possible Gem. Any ways... love and light to all u beautiful souls.
