Nice! You don't normally see that in jasper do you? Or do you? I agree - interested to see what you do with it. It is. Just not as common to this degree with batcave. This material generally forms in 1/4”-1/2” layers. So cutting vertically, isn’t typically the best way to cut it due to lack of material. This one had a thick layer so gave it a shot. Should produce some nice half batcave have moss agate cabs |

My understanding is that is more rim jasper than bat cave ? It’s 100% batcave. It just has a moss jaspagate layer under the porcelain jasper. The stuff they refer to as rim jasper, tends to be more of a mix of green, reds, yellows etc, and contains little to none of the brown/tan bat cave. That stuff also forms in bigger seams. I think I got some nice pieces of that I can post later. |

That would be cool to see We have several unprocessed Bat Cave and I don't think any of it has those colors in it generally from all that I’ve seen (and I got probably 800lbs+ of it) it’s just thin layers that don’t have the moss. And what does is generally very little. I’ll send you some of the rim jasper if you’d like to work some. I just need to remember where I put it 😂. I know I have some buckets laying around somewhere. |
