It has some nice engraving. It’s probably worth more to someone than just bullion value. The hard part is to find somebody to pay more. It’s a cool piece.

Engraved or die-stamped? If engraved, given the amount of work, I have to believe that the engraver surely would have cut his or her name or initials into the back.

I'd give a vote for don't melt. That's a nice piece & the craftsmanship put into it should make it a crime. At $5 you got a nice art piece to display, or I wonder if you could repurpose it into a bola tie.

It not about the money. But if I melt it down, I can make 10 to 15 rings at 100 each. I can have more stock to sell at show.
