The Oligocene ended and Miocene began about 20 million years ago when a comet impacted Uzbekistan This is not recognized by geologists because it is not what they expect. It did not explode. instead of an asteroid, think water balloon, after all, comets are "dirty snowballs." As a water balloon, Instead of exploding, it shoved the ground toward the southeast, and Made metamorphic rocks and sprinkled it with it's dirt - uranium, gold, copper, etc.. Think Impact Funnels - Smothered Impacts. And even stranger stuff.
I think This Uranium possibly set the stage for apes to change into humans. All part of God's plan.

Here is the hilarious thing.
I come to a rock tumbling forum for some of the most fantastic astronomy investigation around. Then again, if you are investigating anything geology related, you go to where those who are passionate about geology are. This was an amazing one. Much appreciated!
