Yep, I knew just by the theme, this month was one to just focus on cabbing and having a motivation and deadline to get the practice in. The little bit of banded agates I have I’m not super willing to chop up cause I’m not fully pleased yet with my ability to create consistently good cabs. Some of those examples above are gorgeous.

I feel that. I’m not a big banded agate person so don’t make it a priority to obtain since my main focus is plume. Started digging last night and found those slabs but haven’t even scratched the surface of what else I have out there. Got a barrel of laguna agate nodules but don’t really want to start cutting them up.

realrockhound another triangle? Looks like a blend of aqua nueva and aztec lace? Yes indeed. An isosceles triangle to be exact. I honestly have no idea what this material is tbh. I just assumed some type of crazy lace. If you have a better ID so I can update it for the entry.

realrockhound Of all the slabs you posted, the first one with all the purples and pinks and this one with the orange hexagons were my favorite. It would be nice to know for sure what that material is. Anyway, both really cool pieces. It looks like you should still have some orange hex’s left on your remnant to maybe get another cab as well? I like how the colors travel from deep orange to white diagonally across your rectangle (who identifies as a triangle).🤓

And then I guess the orange one is Agra nueva. I plan on cutting two more cabs out of that slab. Wish it was bigger so I could get more.

I was able to get to mine over the weekend. This is supposed to be Laguna Lace. I really like the material. I noticed there's a small hair on it (dangit!). I'd take a new picture, but I can't get the light to cooperate in my office today... And here's the slab:

If there are any runaways this month, I will genuinely be surprised. Good cuts, good polishes, good cabs all around.

Looks like I made it, but first my video from last week. Didn't do the possible Agua Nueva, it deserves to be 2 sided and will require more time than I have. I glued a few to boards and cut a nice slab Friday.

The incorrectly identified TP that was really Dryhead made the cut, literally cut on Friday. The Slab The cab and the side view As y'all can see I did a pretty much perfect triangle to make up for last month, and the slab made me do it. And since one crappy cell phone video ain't enough...
