Mark K give it a try anyway. The sudden temperature change can sometimes clear the clouds up. And even if it doesn't, it's still very impactful to other senses. It will be cloudy here too but I'll be watching from the path of totality in my backyard. 😎

I can see the eclipse from here—- San Jose, California. South of San Francisco. No clouds today. 👍🏻

Seen one here in Oregon a few years back, I'm good for awhile... Probably just play in the shop instead, won't be seeing much here..

Those photos are great, wargrafixHopefully there will be other astronomical events in your skies this year. The Eta Aquariids are coming up. Is that something you can see and are interested in?

Give it two more weeks. The science will change "It's like no cheese I've ever tasted..." (lunar expedition; Wallace & Gromit, 1989) speaking of cheese. Just made skillet potatoes and a veggie omelette with cheddar cheese on the inside garnished with feta. Sometimes breakfast for dinner just hits right.

Depending on the weather. But I do enjoy meteor showers. I am hoping to go after more deepsky since planets only become viable later in the year I am looking for the occultation of Saturn by the moon in August. Weather permitting

Weather permitting It's always miserable here when there's anything interesting in the sky. Although, after that volcano erupted in Tonga, we had the best winter sunsets I've ever seen. They started off pale gold and then deepened into the richest colours. I grew up where it is isolated and arid. Definitely miss the sky out there. Hopefully the weather behaves itself for you in August.
