There are apparently agates in Cardinia Creek near here... trapped and buried under tonnes of water in a reservoir. I'm near the Dandenong Ranges, which are beautiful (but national park, so no taking rocks).

What about you? Do you need to travel to get a good, light-free view of the sky for your astronomy interests?

I would have to travel since light pollution has boned my country. Home, I put up with it. However, my main interest is planetary imaging and I can go in my front yard and do it perfectly.

I didn't realise you could still photograph planets with light pollution. That's amazing.
