I'm still learning the basics of making cabochons and wanted to see if I could find some pictures in the Picture Jasper I had available over this last weekend. All of these (with the exception of the one on the lower left) were either in discount bins or scraps. I think they still had potential and I'm happy with what I got from them. I'm looking forward to finding some more material to try. I really love some of what I've seen available out there. Picture Jasper Cabs by Quentin Furrow, on Flickr

They're all different an all beautiful. Looks like you're getting everything really even and you're definitely getting a great polish on them. Have you started your cab for the next competition?

Really love the lower left one.👍 And yes, I hope you have some sort of banded agate and consider putting a cab in the contest!

Thanks! I have a really lovely chunk of Laguna Lace that I've always wanted to slab up, so I may enter it if I do.

What's the upper left? Looks like some dendritic sage agate sans the amethyst I really like that one but it's very much a close race you framed some interesting patterns. Good eye.

Did you mean the one on the upper right? I'm not sure what it is. Somebody tossed it and I was happy to take it!

As the others have said you take great care for symmetry which is very appealing.

More great cabs, thanks for sharing! What did you use for polish on these? Thanks! So the final polish on all of these cabs I've done so far has been the cerium pad that's at the end of my Kingsley North cabber. I honestly thought it wouldn't be that good and was planning on using a seperate polishing wheel, but I have to say it's been working great. I don't know how long it will last, but I've done about 50 cabs with it and it seems to be holding up well.

I'm not sure if you have the 6" or the 8" KN Cabber. I have the 6". I got a packet of these for replacements for the cerium pad when it wore down. They do last awhile. www.ebay.com/itm/141799880274
