We get Archaeology magazine, and they have this interesting article this month about a tomb in SW Spain where several upper class women were buried with all kinds of grave goods, jewelry, etc. Among it they also found these arrowheads. The picture in the magazine shows them backlit, and very striking.
They said they were made from Mylonite. Of course, any mylonite I google doesn't look anything like this. But that was back when the good stuff was still available, of course. The backlit photo showed a very colorful, translucent jade like stone. But I can't get that photo online, since it's the current issue.
But here is a photo of the arrowheads like that. I think RickB would be most interested to see these.
Arrowheads found in the Communal Tomb Known as the Montelirio Tholos in SW Spain - tomb is about 4800 years old.

Thanks for posting this Patty. These would be delicate eccentric pieces made for ornamental purposes and they would not be hafted to an arrow shaft. Buried with someone of high regard.

I bet you're right Rick, the delecacy of the work on these is just amazing. I can guess they must have broken many of them trying.
OTOH I couldn't for the life of me figure out how they would attach them to a shaft. Makes sense that they were just made for the sake of beauty. Thanks for clarifying that, Patty

I would think the shaft would be betwixt the two long sides which are rounded so when wrapped they have stability and grip which won’t wobble as much nor point slide off the shaft. I shoot a 25lb recurve bow for a cpl years now. Am very much interested in mounted archery. 👈 very much unrelated. Don’t know why I felt the need to include that nevertheless I did so I did. 🤷♀️

Agreed it wouldn’t be functional for hunting and prolly just for showing off. I do wonder if they coulda been used for assassination? Small delicate injury. You could put it on the end of a short stick tip up a sleeve perhaps, and insert leaving no shaft or injury easy to find on the outside.

Among things that were found were "a set of stone "arrow heads" that are too finely made to have been any use." RWA3006 I may attempt to replicate one of these in the future. benedante.blogspot.com/2021/11/poisoned-women-and-beaded-dresses-from.html

I agree, if anyone can do it, Rick can. After all, some 4800 year old knapper did it, you can do it !
