My Nat Geo Pro 3-speed & Lyman Vibratory Tumblers
Yes, that is a brass tumbler, but it has a donut bowl, no drain to worry about plugging, 11lb capacity, and at $100 I couldn't pass it up! I don't like the lid though, very thin & bows in very easily, not that I'll need the lid for anything other than keeping dust and insects out.
Also picked up a Vevor 11lb/5Kg Jewelry Tumbler. This one is direct drive... no external belt to break!!!
All 4 wheels that contact the drum rim have teeth in them to drive the drum!
Seems to work okay, waiting on a shipment of Labradorite from rock shed to test it out!!! Though I did already do a 4 hour dry run with 4lbs of ceramic media to remove the gloss on the inside of the drum which is why you cannot see into it.
And a stock pan.... for making my own flat lap machine
It's 11.5" wide, so large enough to run wheels up to 10", and stainless steel, so no worries about rusting! I have a couple of DC motors laying around & plan to run it off solar / battery power!!!
