I have four SFRB's of dino gem bone for sale. The pieces aren't large enough to cab but would make small tumbling rough.
This stuff would best serve experienced tumblers because it tends to undercut and needs finesse to get it right. It's also a little delicate compared to agate or jasper.
I got it in an estate sale from old folks who picked it up during the uranium rush.
I'm asking $25 per box and I pay shipping. Please, only one box per person so we can spread the love around.
The first four people to say dibs here on this thread get a box.

Wish I could partake, but if I can't do obsidian, I can't do this.

Wish I could partake, but if I can't do obsidian, I can't do this. You'll master the obsidian one of these days Chris, but you are correct in that this bone is more difficult than obsidian. The trick is to polish the surface of the bone without grinding away the whole piece and we usually have to settle for less than perfect results in the traditional sense.

Wish I could partake, but if I can't do obsidian, I can't do this. This is going to the back of the line for my tumblers. I've already got about 150lbs of rock waiting for its turn (pun absolutely intended). Hopefully by the time this comes up, I'll know how to treat it right.

I just stumbled upon some gem bone I tumbled years ago. Just for giggles I'll post photos.

Nice! If you ever have any more to sell let me know! Will do. No telling what else I'll find as I make my way through the hoard.
